Hard Hats & Hot Shots: EPAB Trap Shoot Raises Funds for PWB Scholarships

EPAB On the Scene,

The El Paso Association of Builders (EPAB) and its Professional Women in Building (PWB) Council brought together builders, industry professionals and friends for the Hard Hats & Hot Shots Trap Shoot Competition on August 19. Despite the sweltering El Paso heat, 60 competitors turned out for a day of friendly competition, camaraderie and support for a great cause.

Last Place - PWB Ladies

Proceeds from the event will benefit the PWB Scholarship Fund, helping provide educational opportunities for students pursuing careers in the building and construction industry.

EPAB President Lydia Mlouhi praised the strong turnout and enthusiasm from participants. “We couldn’t have asked for a better response. Seeing 60 competitors come out in the El Paso heat to support PWB and our industry’s future workforce is truly inspiring.”

The event was proudly sponsored by Foxworth Galbraith, LEH Homes and Vantage Bank. Participating companies included Cadence Lending, Coronado Building Corp., El Maida Shrine Claybusters, Hunt Companies, Lone Star Title, Millennial Homes and Rocky Mountain Mortgage.

PWB Chair Kelly Sorenson expressed her appreciation to everyone who helped make the event a success. “Thank you to everyone who participated, sponsored, volunteered and supported Hard Hats & Hot Shots. Your generosity is helping us invest in the next generation of building professionals, and we look forward to awarding scholarships by the end of the year.”

With great participation and an even greater purpose, Hard Hats & Hot Shots proved that EPAB members know how to have fun while making a meaningful difference in the community and industry they serve.
